Welcome to Paws & Pounds! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Paws & Pounds mobile application (the "App") and website (https://pawsandpounds.com), operated by Paws & Pounds Team. By accessing or using our App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Important Medical Disclaimer
Paws & Pounds is designed to assist pet owners in tracking and managing their cat or dog's weight and feeding routines through visual assessments and algorithmic calculations.
The App does not provide medical or veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All content, recommendations, and feeding plans generated by the App are for informational purposes only. You should always consult a qualified veterinarian before making any significant changes to your pet's diet, exercise routine, or if you have concerns about your pet's health.
2. Accounts and Household Collaboration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
If you use the "Household Collaboration" feature (available in Pro) to invite other members, you are responsible for their use of the App under your household account.
3. Free and Pro Subscriptions
Paws & Pounds offers a Free tier and an optional Pro subscription tier.
- Free Tier: Includes basic weight tracking, Body Condition Score (BCS) assessment, and calorie calculation for 1 pet.
- Pro Subscription: Provides access to advanced features, including unlimited pets, dynamic weight plans, and household collaboration. The Pro subscription is billed monthly or annually as presented in the App.
4. Payments, Renewals, Subscriptions, and Cancellations
- Free Trial: The Pro Yearly subscription may include a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the end of the trial period, your Apple ID account will be automatically charged the yearly subscription price. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable.
- Auto-Renewal & Payments: All payments are processed entirely by Apple. Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Paws & Pounds does not directly collect or store your payment information.
- Cancellations & Refunds: To cancel a subscription or request a refund, you must do so directly through your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase. We cannot cancel subscriptions on your behalf.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You must not attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise the security of the App or our servers.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paws & Pounds and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data or profits arising out of your use or inability to use the App. We are not liable for any health issues your pet may experience.
7. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
