Terms of Use

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Paws & Pounds.

By using the App, you represent and warrant that:

• you are at least 13 years old
• you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
• the information you provide is accurate and current

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.

You agree to:

• provide accurate registration information
• keep your login credentials secure
• notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account

3. App Purpose

Paws & Pounds is designed to help pet owners track pet weight, feeding routines, and body condition information, and to generate wellness-oriented feeding and weight-management guidance.

The App is intended for informational and organizational purposes only.

4. Important Veterinary Disclaimer

Paws & Pounds does not provide veterinary or medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

All content, recommendations, feeding plans, Body Condition Score assessments, exported reports, and calculations provided by the App are for informational purposes only and are not a substitute for advice from a licensed veterinarian.

Always consult a qualified veterinarian before making significant changes to your pet's diet, feeding schedule, exercise, supplements, or care plan, or if you have concerns about your pet's health.

Never disregard professional veterinary advice or delay seeking it because of information provided by the App.

5. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Paws & Pounds offers optional premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions made available via Apple In-App Purchase.

Subscription features, pricing, billing periods, and included benefits are shown in the App at the time of purchase.

6. Payment and Renewal Terms

If you purchase a subscription, you agree to the following:

• Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• The renewal will be charged at the price shown to you in the App at the time of purchase or renewal, unless otherwise communicated by Apple.
• You may manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal by going to your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase.

7. Free Trials and Introductory Offers

If a free trial or introductory offer is made available, its duration, terms, and post-trial billing price will be shown in the App at the time of purchase.

Unless you cancel before the trial or introductory period ends, your subscription will automatically renew at the applicable recurring price.

Any unused portion of a free trial or introductory period may be forfeited if you purchase a subscription where permitted by applicable rules.

8. Refunds

Payments and refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's payment and refund policies. We do not control Apple's billing system and cannot directly issue refunds for Apple In-App Purchases.

9. Household Features

If you use household-sharing or collaboration features, you acknowledge that information you choose to share within your household may be visible to other authorized household members inside the App.

You are responsible for inviting only people you trust into your household space.

10. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account from within the App settings.

Deletion of your account is also subject to our Privacy Policy, including limited retention where necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or billing-related purposes.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the App for unlawful purposes
• interfere with or disrupt the App or its infrastructure
• attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data
• reverse engineer, scrape, exploit, or misuse the App except as permitted by law
• upload content or information you do not have the right to use or share

12. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, software, content, branding, and related materials, is owned by or licensed to Paws & Pounds and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you ownership of the App or any of its intellectual property.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or suitable for every purpose.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paws & Pounds and its developers, operators, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

This includes, without limitation, damages arising from reliance on feeding recommendations, wellness calculations, reports, or other informational outputs of the App.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we do, we will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the "Last Updated" date.

Your continued use of the App after the updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
